"AA" Grade Food Safety

We are pleased to announce that we have once more retained our BRC (British Retail Consortium) Food Safety Accreditation. Following intensive audits at both the Hawthorn Bakery and the Dykehead Bakery, we have once more achieved AA Grade status, in recognition of our excellent quality standards.

Ronnie Miles, Managing Director is delighted with the result, stating, "to consistently achieve the higher level BRC Global Food Safety Standard is testament to the commitment and dedication shown by all our staff. It gives me great pride to the see the work they do commended in this way."

Lynne Moody, Head of Technical and QA mirrored Ronnie's comments, "The work required to obtain this accreditation is considerable and far reaching, involving many different departments and individuals within the business so it's particularly gratifying to see their hard work rewarded. We are particularly pleased for the staff at the Dykehead Bakery as their audit was unnannounced.

The Standard is constantly updated to reflect changes to industry safety and quality standards, so we are always mindful of keeping up to date with any changes which might affect us. I see this as an endorsement of the high quality standards we set for ourselves every day, in everything we do, so I'm very pleased to have that recognised."
